Gunner was abandoned at a veterinarian office, after being shot in the face by his owners. The kind doctor and his staff took pity on this poor pup and treated his injuries, letting him rest and recover with them at the facility. Gunner didn't waste any time winning everyone over with his happy go lucky disposition and securing a semi-permanent foster home at the vet. He has been bunking there for the last several months, healing and getting stronger, while awaiting his forever family to finally find him. Super sweet and friendly, Gunner just wants a human to give him love and direction. He is very eager to please and responsive to food; he would do well with positive reinforcement training and some patience. Gunner is a 2-year-old terrier mix, weighing approximately 65lbs. He comes neutered, vaccinated and up to date on preventatives. Gunner is house trained, walks great on a leash, and is learning basic commands. He does not exhibit any health issues or allergies. He is very affectionate with all people including children, but is selectively friendly with other animals. A home where he is the only pet might be best.
