To help us make a great fit for you, and any of our dogs as well, please include information about yourself(Home, family, yard/fence, work hours, other pets...) and/or use our application at sparrowdogs.com. Those emails will get the quickest response, we do the best we can, but if we have to follow up with an email asking you about yourself and waiting for a response, well, we have already moved on to the next email that has provided the details. We are doing the best we can to find the right home for each dog or cat, just need your help too! :) It is hard to believe that this incredibly handsome guy was a stray, yep, it is true. Jorie has already experienced tough times in his short life. Being a stray is hard on any dog, but being so small, well the poor guy, he was lucky he was picked up and brought to an animal control that made sure he was safe and sound. We were contacted about Jorie fully expecting perhaps some behavioral issues, maybe fearful or under socialized, which is quite common. We surely would not blame him, the world is a scary place to be out on your own! But, we were pleasantly surprised, Jorie is a little sweetheart. Someone must have loved him and cared for him at some point in his life. He is so loving and sweet, playful and social with all the other dogs, he certainly learned those skills somewhere. Jorie is the type of boy that happily prances around the yard with the other dogs while we are out puttering around, gardening or enjoying the day. He loves to be outside exploring and really seems to enjoy the outdoors. But, he is also an incredibly snuggle bug kind of guy. He will melt into your lap, likes to be held on his back like a little baby and just soak in all of the love!! He has met dogs of all shapes and sizes and is fine with everyone, but he seems to buddy up to dogs more his own size. Jorie will be fine in a number of home situations, he is gentle, well mannered(housebroken!!!) beyond the chewing stage, and has been a perfect guest. We think he will love a fairly active home, perhaps some nice walks and a yard to soak in the sun. We have not had him around small children, so we will say we do not recommend a home with little kids. Another dog in the home is a huge plus, and with all that love he has to share, we are looking for a home that will have someone home most of the day to enjoy all that attention! There is nothing like a doting little dog to remind you that you are very special!! Jorie is just 3 years old, and his breed(s) are a true guess. We used an app using his pictures that suggested that combination. He has the most luxurious, silky coat, a longer body and a cute little underbite. He will go home with plenty of supplies to help him settle into his new home. His adoption fee is $400. Please email Kristine at [email protected].
