About Avery

Avery is a 2-3 year old Neutered Black Tri Colored Australian Shepherd. He is microchipped, fully vaccinated, dewormed, heartworm tested negative and on prevention. Avery is a sweet boy who loves to give hugs, cuddle, and play! He would do best in a home with no cats or cats that have their own room. He does okay with other dogs but would do best with a calmer doggy playmate or can be the only dog. Avery is a skilled jumper and climber and for this reason needs a six foot privacy fence. He might be good at agility or other dog sports. He loves car rides more than anything, so he would make a great travel companion. He is very food motivated and is working on learning to sit, lay down, and stay. Avery is currently about 37 pounds but needs to continue to gain a few more so we expect him to be about 40 pounds soon. Avery does not like being left alone and will need a home where he has his humans home most of the time or who can send him to doggy daycare. He will need a heavy duty crate for those times he has to be left home alone. Avery is fearful of loud noises and sudden movements so will need a patient family to help him gain confidence. This boy is incredibly sweet and loving, and is looking for his new family .
