About Lara

LARA is a 1 year old, 9 pound female Terrier mix LOCATION: Pensacola FL NEEDS: Fenced yard, a family who can spend time with her and a playful dog friend. HIGHLIGHTS: Very friendly and playful! Lara was found as a stray in pretty rough shape. Her skin was itchy and inflamed and she had 2 infections due to flea bites. She also had bilateral ear infections. We took her to the vet right away and got her started on meds and she also had a Cytopoint shot which helped clear up her skin. She is healing up nicely and is a really cute little girl! Lara has adorable little stand up/floppy ears and scruffy fur. She is a wonderful and playful little girl who gets along with all the people and pups in her foster home. She loves to sleep in the big bed and snuggles right next to her foster momma. Lara likes playing with toys and any shoes, clothes or slippers she can find. She doesn't chew on them, instead she piles them up in the living room and then sleeps near them. Lara enjoys car rides and loves to go on errands. She enjoys playing with other little dogs and would love to have a playful pup friend in her new home. She is fine with older kids but should not be in a a home with little kids. Cats are untested. Lara is partially leash trained and appears to be fully potty trained. Occasionally she will use a pee pad if she can't get outside, but she does go out regularly in her foster home. Because of her age and activity level and the fact that she was found as a stray, she should have a home with a fenced yard. Lara has been to the vet for a wellness check, is up to date on shots, spayed, fecal tested, heartworm negative, has had a 12-month ProHeart heartworm prevention shot, and is microchipped with a lifetime registration. Applicants should live within a 1-2 hour drive to Pensacola. Puppies, dogs with pending vet appointments, and dogs with behavioral issues are only adoptable within a 1 hour drive to Pensacola. Most others we will consider within a 5-hour drive. We do not ship or transport our dogs. *We are a foster-based rescue and do not have a facility. Our dogs live in private homes in and around the Pensacola area until they are adopted. *We review multiple applications for each dog and pick the best fit.
