About Rocket

Rocket is a very sweet and tender 8 year old standard poodle. He is up to date on vaccinations through August of next year, last weighing in at 47.5 pounds. He was neglected in his previous living arrangement, evident by his nervous demeanor, having been covered head to toe in thick matted hair, and sustaining multiple infections just prior to us taking on his care 2 years ago. As such, he is incredibly skittish and wary of new people. He mostly sticks to himself and is usually more submissive toward other animals; he'd do better in a home with female dogs or non territorial dogs. He's gotten into marking wars with our older male chiweenie, but this has stopped since separating the two. No bite history or special diet. He ADORES walks, and pulls very little on the leash. We think he'd do best in a more predictable environment under the care of owners with regular work hrs from week to week, work from home, or retired. We know this special boy will melt the hearts of the right home with his big doe-like amber eyes and his gentle approach.
