Hi!! I'm Rhoda. My foster family calls me Rhodie, Rhodster, Rhoorhoo and Scooter. I live with 2 fur sisters and a guinea pig. I love my fur sisters because they give me the confidence and encouragement to feel comfortable. I'm a 1-2 year old Boxer mix weighing about 55 pounds. I'm spayed, HW neg, UTD on all vaccinations and preventatives. I'm house and crate trained and I learned the command 'sit'. I am cautious about my environment but my fur sisters give me the confidence to try new things. I walk well on the leash but need a strong leader to show me it is all ok. I never shared about my past but I'm very happy to be in a safe warm home. I would love to join your family and show you all my silly and fun sides. I sleep in very odd positions. I snore, kick and grumble in my sleep. I will want to be by your side even if you are just walking out to the other room. I like calmer environments with a routine. I would love a fur sibling to help me with my confidence. I will take my time to adjust to new situations and environments. But if you just keep encouraging me I know I can do it!! I would be ok with a cat but there would need to be the proper introductions and training because I have shown a prey drive outside. Inside, I am super curious about the guinea pig and try to care for it like a puppy. I love being outside and just hanging out or laying in the grass. I'm still not too sure about toys but I do like a nice rope or bones to chew on. My foster family is in love with me and knows I would be an amazing addition to your family!! I'm waiting in Lancaster to meet you. We are PA Caring for K-9's, an all-breed dog rescue that is solely run by volunteers. Most of our dogs are rescued from high kill shelters in the South. If the dog is posted, they are still available! Once arriving, these dogs enter foster homes, as we do not have a shelter. We cannot adopt out dogs to a home with dogs that are not fixed or up to date on shots. If interested in adopting, please submit an application online at www.pack9rescue.org. Our adoption fee for altered dogs is $350 and goes directly to saving the lives of more dogs. Our adoption fee for unaltered puppies will be $400 which includes a refundable $50 deposit upon receipt of spay/neuter certificate. We are an all-volunteer organization, and we are always looking for more help. Learn more about adopting from us or volunteering for us at www.pack9rescue.org or check us out on Facebook for more information and a complete list of dogs available for adoption.
