American Staffordshire Terrier / Staffordshire Bull Terrier
Age: Young Adult
Howdy everyone! My name is Molly, and I'm a sweet, affectionate, smart, playful, loyal as well as beautifully marked 35-pound harlequin American Staffordshire Terrier/ Staffordshire Bull Terrier mix gal with a cute white tail-tip who was born around May 2019. (I'm petite for an AST and big for a SBT.) I'm called a harlequin because I'm mostly white with black on my ears, back, and tail. Don't I look like the famous RCA dog Nipper who listened to an antique phonograph -- or perhaps Petey, the canine companion of Spanky and Our Gang? I'm easy to please because I just LOVE all ages of hoomans. I'm excellent with children, which explains why we Staffies are often called 'nanny dogs.' Foster Mom testifies that I've interacted well with her 10 year-old daughter and her younger friends. I love walks, and that's when I meet other dogs. I'll let them sniff me and wag my tail but don't play with them. I prefer having fun with my hoomans as well as just being lazy around the house with them. As you can see from my photo, I'm a character who even practices my 'downward dog' yoga pose on a whim. We Staffies are renowned for being happy, outgoing, good-natured, stable, and confident dogs. We're usually game for anything and lovable 'personality dogs' around the house. We like mental and physical challenges. We're highly trainable, as our many forays into showbiz suggest. My foster mom found me wandering the mean streets of Houston as a heartworm-positive stray. No worries, though, as I'm undergoing treatment, and Foster Mom is covering the cost. She turned to Miss Donna for help in finding me a wonderful new family who will be my forever companions this time around. Molly is updated on shots, spayed, dewormed, and microchipped. Her adoption fee is $250 (includes heartworm treatment) for dogs older than 9 months. An application must be filled out prior to adoption.
