About Sprinkles

SPRINKLES is a 10-12 week old, 11 pound mixed breed puppy LOCATION: Pensacola FL NEEDS: Active family, playful canine companion, fenced yard would be great! HIGHLIGHTS: Very energetic and fun pup! ***LOCAL ADOPTION ONLY*** Sprinkles is an adorable mixed breed (let's hear those breed guesses!) puppy who was found abandoned in a camper. We were told she was there for at least a week before someone discovered her. Based on her current age and size we believe she's going to be a medium sized dog fully grown. Sprinkles is named for all of her adorable freckles. She is a very HIGH ENERGY sweet girl. She likes to sit with her person during nap and tv time, but other than that she is tearing around and playing with any dog in her foster home that will join her in shenanigans! Sprinkles loves to play and a doggy playmate her size or larger is best because she can be a bit too much with little dogs. She plays well with toys but sometimes does not like to share. She is still little, and is learning how to take behavioral cues from the other dogs in her foster home. Sprinkles has not been around cats or kids. We think she would love a home with older kids but she might be a little too much puppy for little ones. She would likely chase a cat! Sprinkles has a healthy appetite, so much that her foster mom feeds her from a slow feeding bowl. She is working on potty training. If you take her outside right after a nap she does great. She has learned to use the doggie door and likes to go in and out. She is not leash trained yet. At night Sprinkles sleeps in a puppy pen with another pup, but would do fine sleeping in the big bed and will love that if her person allows it. She is a sweet, happy bouncy girl who would love an active family with a playful dog buddy and a fenced yard for playtime! Sprinkles will have her first vet visit next week and can go home on May 17th. She will have a full wellness check up, have current shots, be fecal tested, and microchipped with a lifetime registration. Her spay will be covered by the rescue at one of our vets when she is old enough. We also will have any left over baby teeth removed at that time. Puppies, dogs with pending vet appointments, and dogs with behavioral issues are only adoptable within a 1 hour drive to Pensacola. We do not ship or transport our dogs. Applicants should live within a 5 hour drive to Pensacola. *We are a foster-based rescue and do not have a facility. Our dogs live in private homes in and around the Pensacola area until they are adopted. *We review multiple applications for each dog and pick the best fit.
