About AEMOND

Happy, curious, and active, Aemond 'is a gem of a pup' whose 'eye contact makes you want to melt!' according to his foster mom. Aemond is super smart; he knows sit, place, down, wait, is crate trained, and sleeps through the night, and he's doing well with thresholds and leash walking. He's food motivated, takes treats gently, and has recently become an adventurer! His foster family took him to Big Bear Lake, where he was introduced to kayaking and riding nicely in a bike trailer. Aemond is brave and independent, and his foster mom notes that he will do well with humans who make bonding a high priority; he wants to know his people have his back so that he doesn't have to feel nervous in new environments. He really enjoys playing with his foster dog sister and is great at following her cues, though he has so much fun playing fetch and romping on his own that he would also thrive as an only pup. His foster mom says that 'if you've had a tough day, seeing and playing with Aemond will definitely make it better!' We first got to know Aemond when we rescued his very pregnant mom; he arrived only five days later! Aemond's mom is 60 lbs. and looks a bit like a Boxer, and while we don't know who dad is, Aemond and several of his siblings look like they may be part Yellow Labrador.
