About Lupe

I have made the very difficult decision to rehome my 5 year old 78 lb German Shepherd dog Lupita due to my health concerns. Lupita or (Lupe for short) is a beautiful, high energy dog who loves exercise. She is 5 years old, very healthy/happy and has been very well loved and cared for. She is very easy-going and loving at home but tends to be excitable around humans she doesn't know until they become familiar. She does great with my cat. She has never been around other dogs very much, she might do best in a single dog household. Although she walks well on a leash, she is leash reactive to other dogs and can become aggressive. She does best with bigger dogs who like to play hard. She loves to run and chase balls and play soccer. She loves to go hiking and stays close. I wouldn't recommend a household with small children. She knows/obeys all the basic commands. Although she lived her entire life in a village with me, I think she would do better in a country setting. She needs an owner who is familiar with the demands of German Shepards!
