About Kia

KIA is a 2 year old, 7.4 pound female Chihuahua LOCATION: Pensacola FL NEEDS: Playmate and love! HIGHLIGHTS: Sweet, happy little girl! Sweet Kia was found running down the middle of a road. Someone scooped her up (and the dog that was with her that we believe is her puppy-a black and tan boy that is just as sweet and playful as she is) and tried to find an owner. One of the people living in the area had seen the two dogs pushed out of a car into a nearby park. With no owner found, they both came to us. Kia is a super sweet girl that loves to give kisses. She is very happy and friendly and great with everyone she meets. Kia is great with other small dogs and spends most of her days playing. She definitely will want to have a home with a small doggy friend. She's very playful and likes playing with toys, especially nylabones. Kia has not been tested with cats. She has been around a 10 year old boy and loved him (she licked him all over!), so older kids are good. Kia is ok on a leash, but could use some practice. As playful as she is we think a fenced yard would be great to give her a place to run and play. She is great about pottying outside, but will use a puppy pad if needed. At night she likes to sleep in the big bed with her people. Kia has been to the vet for a wellness check, is up to date on shots, just had her spay, fecal tested, heartworm negative, has had a 12-month ProHeart heartworm prevention shot, and is microchipped with lifetime registration. Puppies, dogs with pending vet appointments, and dogs with behavioral issues are only adoptable within a 1 hour drive to Pensacola. *We are a foster-based rescue and do not have a facility. Our dogs live in private homes in and around the Pensacola area until they are adopted. *To meet a dog or be considered for adoption you must first submit an adoption application for review.
