About Rocco

Hi, my name is Rocco. I'm a 14 year old Beagle. I need to be adopted out with my brother Lance. He's a 5 �%BD year old German Shepherd. I raised him from the time he was a puppy so we are bonded and cannot be separated. My family is going through a hard time and has to move away so they unfortunately need to rehome me and my brother. They will want to stay in touch and maybe even visit when they're in town. I'm a very sweet old man. My favorite things to do are cuddle with my humans and lounge around the house. I have no problems with other dogs, cats or women. I sometimes need more time to warm up to large men and can be a bit scared if one approaches me or sneaks up on me. I'm very good with older children but don't like it when little ones don't respect my space. I'm older now and don't appreciate when young kids pull my tail or touch my back because of my arthritis. I have never bitten anyone unprovoked; I always give a warning that I'm uncomfortable and therefore need owners who can sense when I'm at my limit and should be given some time to cool off. I know basic commands just like my little brother and correct him if he gets a little too excited. I like walks, but I have arthritis so sometimes I have days where I need medicine to help with pain. It's very important I get exercise but I can't go on long walks or run for hours. I can't walk off leash because my hearing isn't as good as it used to be and I have a typical Beagle urge to follow my nose.
