About Knox

Knox is back on the adoptable list after being surrendered for a diagnosis of Addison's disease. Addison's occurs when the dog's adrenal glands aren't producing adequate levels of corticosteroid hormones. He is expected to live a long life with treatment! Please consider discussing cost of treatment with your vet prior to applying to adopt. Though the transition was confusing, he is back to thriving in foster care. Knox is a 2 y/o Great Pyrenees mix weighing around 55 lbs. He's a sweet, fluffy boy looking for a family to call his own. Knox is good with kids but cats are unknown. He can be fearful around dogs larger than him. Knox is both house and crate trained. Knox is waiting in Harrisburg, PA for a committed adopter to step up and love him for the rest of his life ��ժ We are PA Caring for K-9's, an all-breed dog rescue that is solely run by volunteers. Most of our dogs are rescued from high kill shelters in the South. If the dog is posted, they are still available! Once arriving, these dogs enter foster homes, as we do not have a shelter. We cannot adopt out dogs to a home with dogs that are not fixed or up to date on shots. If interested in adopting, please submit an application online at www.pack9rescue.org. Our adoption fee for altered dogs is $350 and goes directly to saving the lives of more dogs. Our adoption fee for unaltered puppies will be $400 which includes a refundable $50 deposit upon receipt of spay/neuter certificate.
