The dog is 52 lbs and is a 3 year old neutered, Brindle colored American Pit Bull Terrier Mix, per the vet. We call him Buddy. Background: Found this stray, malnourished dog in Feb 2023. Have been nursing him back to health. We hoped to find his owners, never planned on keeping the dog. He is not chipped. Posted on various online sites, made posters for area businesses and area vets. No owner contact. I paid to neuter the dog on 3/29/2023, treated for tapeworms, and brought up to date on all vaccines at the Petsmart vet around 2/24/2023. He received the following vaccines: DPPA (DA2PPV) Lepto 4-way Rabies Tag 23-10363 He is polite and well behaved. Does not jump on people or on furniture. He is not aggressive or territorial. I am still working on potty-training. He has not been trained to walk on a leash. He is friendly with my small female beagle. Dog has not been around cats, but is human friendly. I can't keep the dog any longer. I live in an apartment with a tiny yard in back. The dog can't be added to my lease due to his size (52 lbs). Here are the details: I rescued him from the street, nursed him to health, intending to find owner. Dog is not chipped, I've exhausted all efforts to try to find owner or rehome the dog. I've asked family and friends, printed posters, posted on NextDoor and other online venues with no luck. I am not able to keep this animal. I live in a small apartment where dogs of this size are not allowed. I am trying to avoid surrendering Buddy at the San Antonio Animal Control (ASC), which is a kill shelter, but can't keep. Please, Buddy needs a furever family!
