About Maverick

Meet Maverick formally Majestic, Maverick is around 6 1/2 yrs old, cropped but has a natural tail. Poor Maverick has had a rough start at life. Maverick is done with heart worm treatment! He does need to be retested in 6 months to verify he is negative and he will need to stay on heart worm prevention the rest of his life. Maverick is not completely neutered yet we just recieved his DNA test today that has confirmed that Maverick is a Doberman Rotti Mix and has 1 positive VWD gene that he carries which makes him a carrier but could potentially cause additional bleeding as well but not fully affected. Maverick is a super sweet boy that loves everyone he meets and is good with female dogs, kids and cats and learning to like ferrets though should be watched closely with them. The wrinkles on his forehead are from someone stitching his head to hold his ears up which has now caused scar tissue on his face causing permanent wrinkles. Maverick has came a very long way with his obedience since he has been with his foster. He knows various commands and even picking up on gluten detection. Currently Maverick is looking for a foster that will care for him until his neuter can be completed since he is only 1/2 neutered right now or a adopter willing to do a medical disclaimer to adopt. He will need to make one more trip to the springs possibly for his neuter to be completed.
