Courtesy post...Peso needs out NOW. Shelter is over capacity. 'Hello, Baltimore County Animal Services is seeking urgent placement for Peso. Peso was surrendered to us in January after he was not getting along with the other male dog in the house. Peso and the other dog would frequently get into scuffles resulting in minor cuts. While Peso has shown some interest in other dogs, he would do best in a home as the only dog. Peso previously lived with young children, however due to his declining behavior he must go to a home with kids 12 and up. Peso has rapidly been deteriorating in the kennel environment, becoming increasingly jumpy and mouthy. Peso has shown more interest in toys or food than getting attention from people, though when given time to bond with someone he really shows his true colors. Due to Peso's decline in the kennel he needs to get out of the shelter ASAP, either by adoption or rescue. Peso is in a temporary foster home, but is slated to return to the shelter this coming week. We do not want Peso to decline further in the shelter setting so would like to find an adopter or rescue for Peso prior to then. Peso needs work on settling down when being crated, but has been working on his tricks while in foster and has shown that he's a smart boy! Peso is neutered, up to date on vaccines, and heartworm tested negative. Adopters are welcome to come adopt any of our dogs Tuesdays-Sundays 12pm-4:30pm. If you are interested in pulling Peso, or have any questions, please let me know! Baltimore County Animal Services 13800 Manor Road Baldwin, MD 21013
