BEBE is a 7 year old, 8 pound female Poodle Chihuahua mix LOCATION: Pensacola FL NEEDS: Fenced yard, no big dogs or kids. HIGHLIGHTS: 100% loving lapdog, potty trained. Bebe is a quiet and sweet little girl who would love to find a home with a person to sit with all the time! She is so happy and lovable. Bebe loves attention and affection and is pretty laid back as long as someone is around. But she does not like to be left alone, even with a doggy friend. She will cry and bark when left and will not be a good fit for apartment living, unless you plan to take her pretty much everywhere you go. She does love to ride in the car and would be happy to accompany you on errands! Bebe sleeps really close to her person and is a great lap dog. She gets along well with other dogs and would be happy with another little dog in her home. Bebe has permanent luxating patellas on both hind legs and bigger or energetic dogs will not be her best match. For the same reason she shouldn't go to a home with kids. We don't know how she would be with cats but we wouldn't think they would be a problem for her. Bebe can and will use doggy steps to get up on the couch. She has no fear jumping off a low sitting chair or couch, but that should be limited as a precaution due to her bad legs. Bebe is great with potty training, and not so great with leash training. She is not used to walking with a harness and leash, but could learn. A fenced yard is a must for her. Bebe has been to the vet for a wellness check, is up to date on shots, fecal tested, heartworm negative, has had a 12-month ProHeart heartworm prevention shot, and is microchipped with a lifetime registration. She still needs to be spayed and will have a couple of mammary tumors removed at that time. She will also have a dental. All of those procedures will be scheduled at our vet and are covered by the rescue. Bebe is the sweetest little girl who will be a wonderful companion for just the right person. Puppies, dogs with pending vet appointments, and dogs with behavioral issues are only adoptable within a 1 hour drive to Pensacola. *We are a foster-based rescue and do not have a facility. Our dogs live in private homes in and around the Pensacola area until they are adopted. *To meet a dog or be considered for adoption you must first submit an adoption application for review. This does not obligate you to adopt a dog. *We review multiple applications for each dog and pick the best fit. We are not always able to respond to every application.
