Owner reports that Silver has 'Cataracts and secondary glaucoma due to old age and predisposition of the breed leading to blindness in one eye and then another the next year. He is completely blind.' Owner reports: Silver's caretakers need to move and can no longer take care of him. Silver is said to be an indoor dog confined to one are of the house. He reported to be house broken and leash trained. 'when he is confined to a fenced area, he knows to not defecate/urinate indoors, and knows exactly where food and water bowls are within the fenced area within a few days.'
