About Jacob

My name is Jacob and I have a sad story to tell. My prior owner took me off my chain and brought me to the kill shelter on the way to the dump with his garbage even though I am a good boy. I really have never experienced human kindness and attention until being rescued and I radiated defeat when I was saved. But now I love treats and canned food and a comfy bed! I am still friendly and affectionate in spite of my past of neglect. Since I am an older guy without exposure to anything but a life alone outside, I would probably do best in a home with no kids or other pets. My feet are webbed together from years of outdoor exposure and I may have had a stroke before but my blood work looks pretty good for an older fellow and I still have some love to give. I just want a warm home and some love for my remaining days. Can you help a senior boy like me know kindness? Note: Jacob will need a special adopter. He takes a couple of medications and uses diapers if unable to get outside for long periods of time. The rescue can help fund some of Jacob's needs. We can also transfer Jacob to a 501C/ Senior Hospice.
