About Gabby

Meet Gabby !! This adorable sweet tiny boxer is looking for a forever home of her own. She was adopted right away by her foster family but sadly due to a human medical diagnosis in the family they felt it would be better to let her go to a different family. She is an approx 10 month old, female boxer. She only weighs 40 pounds and is a very small framed boxer. She likely will stay this size. Gabby is spayed, up to date on vaccines and microchipped. She is heartworm negative. She's done great with other dogs and loves having another dog to play with. She is said to be good with cats but her foster family doesn't have any to verify. She's met lots of kids and does really well with them. She does get excited and jump on people sometimes so please consider that if you have small children. Gabby came to us very shy and lacking in worldly experiences. We've been working on building her confidence and helping her see the world isn't scary. She does extremely well with people after a day or two and is then a happy playful puppy in the home. On outings and meeting new people she still becomes very shy. She has been going on outings in the community and has been attending training classes to help her with confidence. She does well but still needs continued work to help her in those situations. She's never been aggressive, she's just shy. Having another dog in the house or on outings with her really helps her be brave. Gabby does great in the house. She is mostly potty trained with very few accidents. Despite being shy she thankfully does not tinkle when nervous like many scared dogs do. She does great on car rides and with leash walking. She is crate trained but has done anxiety being left alone at times. She sleeps in the crate in the bedroom at night with no issues. She has not had any aggression with food, treats, or toys with people or other animals. She loves to play with other dogs and shares very well with them. Gabby has the very typical boxer high energy. She absolutely has to have a fenced yard. She will not be happy or properly exercised without one. She needs that outlet to run and play. If you have some tennis balls you can entertain her easily! After a long day of playing and running around she is very cuddly. If you're looking for a high energy friend and don't mind putting in a little work to finish her confidence building then this amazing girl might be the right one for you!
