Listen up all you experienced German Shepherd lovers! What's a guy like me gotta do to get your attention? My strikingly handsome good looks should be enough! My name is 'Attila' but my friends call me Tilly! Last year I spent my 2nd birthday in the shelter. I'm almost 3 now and sure would like a home to celebrate my next birthday, which is in early summer. Life has been very ruff for me, but I'm trying to keep positive. The humans keep telling me I'm special and that there is someone out there who will want me. True to the German Shepherd breed, I will be a very loyal and protective member of my family. For this reason, I am seeking an adopter experienced with my breed. My introductions to new people are done slowly, giving me the time and space I require to trust a new face. I will need to meet any potential adopters several times before I let my guard down. But believe me when I tell you, I am worth every single visit and you'll see why. Please give me the commitment of your time, patience and efforts to trust. In return, you will be rewarded with seeing the real me ('|by the way, another nickname I have is 'Silly Tilly' but first you have to gain my trust and then you'll see why)! Since I've been waiting for my home, staff and volunteers have learned I'm a big goofball looking for butt scratches, belly rubs, squeaky toys, ball tosses and lots of exercise to keep my brilliant mind busy! One of my favorite toys in the world is my Babble Ball'|just ask my friends at the shelter! It's so awesome with the red flashing lights and sounds. The other favorite thing I really, really love, is hanging out in the 'Almost Home' room. What's that you ask? It's a cool little living room at the shelter, with a nice squishy couch to lounge on with my comfy blankets, which is great for now, but I'm really hoping to have my own forever couch and living room soon'|just sayin'! I don't mean to brag but like most German Shepherds, I'm super smart, love to have a task to complete and I love to learn. Everyday, I work on my skills and manners; ongoing training and consistency is something I need to succeed. This will ensure the things I've learned remain directed into positive behaviors. It's a great way to develop a deep bond with me while helping to keep my manners in check and establish a trusting, respectful relationship with you. Finally, here's the requirements I need in my future home. I know they are very specific but I deserve the best because I am the best (not to brag, but I do bark the truth)! 1. I need an Adult Only home. It should be calm with low foot traffic. 2. Single Family owned home required. I am not suited for rental properties/apartment or complex living. I deserve to know I will be safe and remain in my forever home. 3. Dog and cat free home required. But hey'|can you blame me for wanting to be your one and only fur-kid to play with and swoon over? 4. I want an adopter who will seek continued training. The first step to meet me is to submit an application at this link: https://popememorialcvhs.org/adopt/ Since I'm such a celebrity, I can be seen by appointment only for approved applicants. If you have specific questions about moi, please email [email protected] Please tell my people that Animal Rescue Konnection sent you! Love, Attila xxoo
