[Read About Natural Cancer Care] If interested you MUST fill out an Adoption Application: http://fuzzypawzrescue.com/adopt/adoption-application-2/ Location: Boise, ID Breed: Boston Age: 7 years old Adoption fee: $150 Penny is a 7-year-old Boston Terrier who came to Fuzzy Pawz after she was left at a local shelter. The staff at the shelter realized she needed more advanced care in a foster environment and reached out to us. When she first arrived, Penny had some ear, eye, and bladder infections. Once those cleared up, it was time to surgically remove some large mammary masses she had on her stomach. While the mass was completely removed, the biopsy revealed that it is cancerous and the potential for recurrence is high. The vet who did the surgery estimates that Penny has at least 6-12 months left in her life. You would never know that, though because Penny is full of life every day. Penny is a spunky and easy-going girl who loves to trot around and show off her various toys. She will follow you around out of curiosity but also enjoys zonking out on the couch. If you let her, she will lay across your lap and snore away the day. Since she arrived, she has been potty trained and has learned the household routine. Her foster parents also laugh at Penny's desire to pick up her food bowl and carry and toss it around when she's hungry. During the warm sunny days, she likes to cruise around the backyard with her dog friends and plays a little bit of fetch. Her hearing and vision are degraded but she doesn't let that stop her. Penny is good with other dogs, cats, and children, though small children will startle her. We'd like her home to have no kids under 10 years of age. She will tolerate a crate but does get stressed in them (maybe from prior trauma), but she does fine left in the house when no humans are home. She would be great in a variety of homes, but most importantly, she needs a home that understands her prognosis and is willing to monitor her health and give her as many pain-free and happy days as possible. Penny also has a bad case of dry eye and is currently on drops and a gel to keep her eyes comfortable. The rescue will supply the first round of medication but it will need to be refilled at the owners expense. If you think this sweet girl would fit into your home, fill out an application today.
