Gerald is a golden/blond young adult male neutered chihuahua. He obviously had a previous home because he had a collar when I found him, but I was unable to locate his previous family. He was not neutered and had fleas, but he is now neutered, flea-free, heartworm negative and on heartworm prevention, and up to date on vaccines. Warning: Gerald has behavior issues. He bears his teeth and growls and will bite out of fear. He is currently staying at an animal hospital and always growls and bears his teeth when someone opens his cage. We have to very cautiously get him out and put him back in the cage. When walking on a leash he is okay, and after a few minutes of being out and being around someone, he may let that person pet him. He also seems to become attached to certain people and those people can pick him up and hold him and pet him and he loves it. However, we did adopt him out once and things were going well but then he bit the woman who adopted him, so now he is back. Whoever adopts him has to go extremely slowly with him and let him determine how much interaction they will have. He is worth it, though! I know he will make a great pet for the right person!
