About ZOEY

PLEASE READ BELOW!!! Meet Zoey. She's a Pom/Chi. Under 2 years old. She weighs 9 lbs. PLEASE READ BELOW IN ENTIRELY!!!!! General behavior: She is a sweetheart, but it takes time for her to get used to new people. (Give her 15 min.) She enjoys the outdoors and loves going on walks and car rides. She loves her toys, and carries them around the house. She is a copy-cat barker. If another dog barks, she joins in. !!! Watch out when opening gates, she will make a dash for it. ESCAPE ARTIST. MUST BE SUPERVISED AT ALL TIMES OUTSIDE. Zoey is ALWAYS happy!! Likes and dislikes: She loves her people and being your shadow. She also loves belly rubs and treats. It takes her a minute to acclimate to new dogs. She's fine with being brushed. She dislikes collars and harnesses. She will chew them. She needs a strong plastic harness that she can't chew through. Zoey loves running around the house, but also loves sitting on the couch with her people. Training: Zoey is 90% house trained and doesn't have accidents as long as she is let out often AND SUPERVISED. She walks well on a leash and harness. At bedtime she will sleep in her playpen/crate or in your bed. She is movement motivated though. If you get out of bed, so will Zoey. (She's a toddler.) She will stand on her back legs for a treat. Medical: Zoey needs her monthly preventative heart-worm and flea prevention. Other Animals: Zoey is dog friendly, but if the dog barks at her she will bark back. We have no info on cats. Children: Zoey loves older children, no younger than 10 yrs old. ! However, a home where the children have experience with a small dog would be best. Home: Zoey would do best in a home with fenced and secure back yard. She's fine staying home while her family is at work, but having a dog sibling would keep her busy. She loves to run around and play. She needs to be supervised when opening front door if given the chance she will make a dash for it. Grooming: Zoey needs regular grooming, as well as baths, nail trimming and ear cleaning. She doesn't mind baths, but she's not fond of the blow dryer. Overall: Zoey is a super sweet dog that deserves a pawfect home. She just needs a family that will love her forever. Hello everyone! My name is Zoey! I am a Pomeranian/chihuahua mix. I am a very young and energetic girl estimated to be between 1-3 years old. Everyone that meets me comments on my beauty and how beautifully my eyes match my fur. I love car rides, especially when my foster mom stops to get me a pup cup. I love to go on walks. I am very friendly with all people that approach me. With other dogs I bark and stand guard for a bit, but very quickly upon feeling safe I want to play with them. I love toys and I love to play with the other dogs in my foster home. I also love to snuggle with one of the other dogs when I sleep. I feel a little bit scared of very young kids so I bark at them and end up scaring them. I'd be better in a home with kids upwards of about 8 years old. I do not tolerate being in a crate. I get very nervous and will bark non stop. I'm ok in an open playpen as long as I'm with another fur pal. I'm a great eater. I'm very cooperative at bath time. About potty training, I need to be taken outside every few hours because I get so distracted playing that I sometimes forget to let you know that I have to go. I know that I will make the family that opens their heart and home to me and adopts me so happy!
