About Winston

Currently for adoption in Boise, ID | Adoptable within 100 miles of Boise Winston is a ~4 year old Corgi x Border Collie blend (often referred to as a 'Borgi') that is looking for a home to call his own! This compact, spunky guy weighs 25 lbs and is corgi-shaped with border collie markings. If you're familiar with both breeds, Winston tends towards the personality of a Border Collie while being corgi-size. Winston can be picky about his doggie friends and would do best by himself or with a small, female dog. He does not do well with cats or with children (he will herd them). Winston has gone through an 8 week training class with Scotch Pines dog training. He walks well on a leash, has excellent recall, and loves to be with his person. He is accustomed to sleeping in the humans' bed and is kennel trained. Winston would make a great hiking buddy, and he would love to go on adventures with you this summer! Winston is fully vaccinated, neutered, and microchipped. He is ready to go home with you! Background: Winston was relinquished to a Utah shelter in early 2023, adopted in February, and then his adopter found out she was terminally sick. He was sent to Idaho to find his forever home and has been in a foster home since then where he has learned about consistency and has undergone extensive training.
