About Delilah

Delilah was left behind when her owners moved, and the landlord wanted to send her to the shelter. She was pregnant, and there was no question that we couldn't send her to the shelter because her chances and the puppies staying alive were about zero. Delilah gave birth to 9 beautiful puppies on January 8th. Unfortunately, only 7 survived. Delilah is estimated to be about one year old and 55 lbs, but we expect her to gain some additional weight now after giving birth. She can come to the NJ area on the next transport if she's adopted. Things to know about Delilah: Delilah is a strong girl, like all shepherds are. She's learning to heal when the foster walks her, but she will need more training. She was around cats and didn't seem to care, but she does have a high prey drive with chickens!! We recommend being careful with cats. Needs a high-fenced yard. Preferably not chain link because she climbs on it. Gets along with other dogs. She loves water!!! She sits In Her water during the HOT summer with over 110 temps in the south. Check her video attached. She sits on the Command She loves attention, and she would sit in your lap all day if she could. She listens when she's told, 'No jump,' while excited when the foster goes in the pen with her. Getting calmer now. The best fit for Delilah will be: We prefer an experienced owner with the breed!! Because of her strength, we recommend children older than 13 Someone who is willing to invest in her training.
