About Magnolia

MAGNOLIA is a 3 year old, 15.8 pound possible Maltese mix LOCATION: Pensacola FL NEEDS: A loving family she can spend a lot of time with. HIGHLIGHTS: Friendly, snuggly, housebroken. ***Please read to the end for adoption information.*** Magnolia was found as a stray and brought to us when no owner was found. She was so incredibly matted, like many other long haired dogs that are not properly taken care of! *If you are considering adopting a long haired dog be sure to understand their grooming needs!* Magnolia is a sweetheart! She loves to be near her person and follows her mom around the house and yard. She barks excitedly when her foster mom leaves and when she comes home. She is always so, so excited to see her person and wants to be loved on. At night she sleeps next to her foster mom in the big bed. Magnolia plays well with one of male dogs in her foster home and seems to enjoy being with the other dogs. We also believe she would be fine as an only as long as she could spend lots of time with her person. We haven't seen her play with toys yet, she's too busy playing or snuggling on the couch. Magnolia seems to be housebroken and hasn't had any accidents in the house. When her foster mom asks the dogs if they want to go outside she perks up and runs to the door with the others to be let out. Since she was found as a stray we want her to have a home with a fenced yard just to be safe. Magnolia walks well on a leash and rides well in the car. She's going to need regular brushing and grooming and will be gorgeous when her hair grows back! She will be a great lapdog for someone who wants a loving, playful dog. Magnolia has been to the vet for a wellness check, is up to date on shots, spayed, fecal tested, heartworm negative, has had a 12-month ProHeart heartworm prevention shot, and is microchipped with a lifetime registration. Applicants should live within a 1-2 hour drive to Pensacola. Puppies, dogs with pending vet appointments, and dogs with behavioral issues are only adoptable within a 1 hour drive to Pensacola. *We are a foster-based rescue and do not have a facility. Our dogs live in private homes in and around the Pensacola area until they are adopted. *To meet a dog or be considered for adoption you must first submit an adoption application for review.
