About Georgie

GEORGIE is a 6 year old, 20 pound Terrier mix LOCATION: Pensacola FL NEEDS: Georgie needs to be an only dog in the home or to be adopted with his sister Izzy HIGHLIGHTS: Very sweet and housebroken! George and his sister Izzy were adopted from us about a year and a half ago. They came back recently because their adopter got sick and could no longer care for them. Even though the two dogs originally came to us as a pair and were adopted out as a pair, we had to separate them into different foster homes this time. They love each other very much and would love to be adopted together again, but Georgie is very protective of Izzy and does not want any of the other dogs near her. He has done fine on his own without her but he is still not a fan of other dogs and will need to be an only dog if he can't be adopted with his sister. Georgie has a beautiful soft coat and is a very friendly and loving boy to his people. He loves to have his belly rubbed too! Georgie likes to sleep in the big bed and cuddle with his person. He particularly likes to share a pillow! Georgie loves to go in and out the doggy door and check out what is going on outside. He is potty trained. He walks on a leash, but would do best with a fenced yard. Georgie has not been cat tested. He was with kids in his previous home but due to his protectiveness we think it would be best if he was not with young children. Georgie loves his sister Izzy but is not very good with other dogs. He wants all the love and attention from his people for himself! Georgie has been to the vet for wellness checks, is up to date on shots, neutered, fecal tested, heartworm negative, has had a 12-month ProHeart heartworm prevention shot, and is microchipped with a lifetime registration. Having Izzy and Georgie adopted together again would be great. But they are ok separated so they are available to be adopted individually. Our dogs live in private homes in and around the Pensacola area until they are adopted. *To meet a dog or be considered for adoption you must first submit an adoption application for review.
