George is a 1 year old Terrier/Hound mix. He weighs approx 55 lbs. Hey there! My name is George! I am a very sweet and playful guy and am looking for a family who has the patience to help me build my confidence around other dogs now that I no longer have Fred to fill that role for me. Some here say that a little effort with me will go a long way because I am smart and responsive. Lots of walks through the neighborhood or an urban area like a town center may help me learn to feel more comfortable around my canine counterparts. I walk nicely on the leash and can easily be redirected with a treat. In the play yard, I have a lot of fun energy and enjoy chasing balls, though still a bit weak on the retrieving part. I am known for having very good manners, sitting nicely for treats. Because I am a bit shy, I need slow introductions to other dogs. For now, I may do best in a home with no other dogs or with another well-matched, playful, mentor dog to show me the ropes! Come out and meet me so I can show you what a good friend I can be.
