About Fern

This is Fern! She was found as a stray in October of 2022 with matted hair, very underweight, and fearful. We pulled her from the shelter to foster in our home and unfortunately, she does not do well with our other dog. Fern is anxious and fearful, yet also territorial. She does very well with other dogs outside of the home, but would likely need to be the only dog in the home due to resource guarding. She walks well on a leash, but doesn't enjoy the process of getting the leash/harness on (fearful behaviors). She is playful, sweet, and incredible with children, but will need someone who can work with her on recall and basic obedience away from other dogs. Her exact age is unknown, but she is roughly one year old. She is now a healthy weight of 16 pounds and has been recently groomed. She is a total sweetheart and deserves a loving home!
