Epiphany had an aha moment right in front of our eyes. She was nervous but willing when we took her out of her kennel. Right away we saw some odd scabs on her body. We aren't sure what happened to Epiphany, but she seemed unsure of our handling. Good thing her empty belly won the battle over her nerves. About half way through our first time meeting, Epiphany had her light bulb turn on. She realized volunteers were there to spoil her. We have tons of treats and all she has to do is sit close and we will dish them out. Epiphany is a smartie! By her second time, she also realized if she solicited more attention we would pet her gently. We are working on erasing whatever bad memories she has of hands that might not have been kind to her. Epiphany is looking for a home to keep up the good vibes and give her a life of leisure all dogs should have. Come meet her at the CACC shelter in Chicago! Adoptions take place daily from 12p-6p
