About Harper

Harper is a four year old bluetick coonhound mix. She loves to play fetch and go on walks and hikes. Being outside is her favorite and after working/playing hard she will snuggle on the couch and snooze the rest of the day away. She is a high energy dog that needs exercise every day, but not more than one 30-45 minute walk. Harper has separation anxiety and requires that she be crated when left alone. She would love to be by her person all day! She is a hound and will serenade you with bays. A fenced in yard is a must. She would do best in a home with older or no children. She does not do well with small kids and babies. She does well with cats and chickens, but wouldn't do well around other small animals as she is a hound. She is particular about other dogs and wants to be the dominant dog, a meeting with a potential other dog would be required. She would be a great farm dog.
