About Goliath

GOLIATH is a 6 year old, 9.82 pound male Chihuahua LOCATION: Pensacola FL NEEDS: A doggy friend HIGHLIGHTS: Affectionate and friendly. Goliath was owner surrendered with a couple other dogs when their owner was no longer able to keep them. He is a sweet boy who is happy curled up next to his person, snoring away. Goliath is affectionate and well-mannered and loves nothing more than being with his person. He gives very sweet little soft kisses and expects them back! Goliath has the softest little foot pads and seems to love for them to be rubbed. He is very social and outgoing and so far hasn't met a dog that's a stranger! Goliath should go to a home with at least one other dog buddy as he came from a home where he had several. In his foster home he has 6 fur buddies ranging in size from 4.5 pounds to 40 pounds and he gets along with everyone. We have not had him around kids or cats and to be safe we would say older kids are probably ok. Goliath likes to sleep all over the big bed and tends to move around at night. He is sharing the bed with several other dogs so it just may be that it takes him a minute to find his spot. Goliath is housebroken! He has not had a single accident in his foster home. We have not tested him on a leash but think he could learn with someone willing to take the time to teach him. He only barks when his foster siblings get excited. Goliath might be a little sad at first when he gets to his new home, there have been a lot of changes in his life recently, he will settle in quickly with some love and attention. He has been to the vet for a wellness check, is up to date on shots, fecal tested, heartworm negative, has had a 12-month ProHeart heartworm prevention shot, and is microchipped with a lifetime registration. He will have his neuter and a dental next week. Both of those procedures are covered by the rescue. Puppies, dogs with pending vet appointments, and dogs with behavioral issues are only adoptable within a 1 hour drive to Pensacola. *We are a foster-based rescue and do not have a facility. Our dogs live in private homes in and around the Pensacola area until they are adopted. *To meet a dog or be considered for adoption you must first submit an adoption application for review.
