About Diesel

Diesel here is 3 years old, 60 lbs, American Staffordshire Terrier mix. He loves making new friends. He loves people, including kids, and he's done great with dogs of all sizes (cats are unknown). He loves to play tug-of-war, but can also entertain himself with a bone or squeaker toy for hours. Some dogs chew their feet, Diesel prefers to stick his whole foot in his mouth. He's a husky at heart and loves to play in the snow, no jacket needed. He's extremely intelligent. Perhaps too smart for his own good, he has managed to outsmart every barrier or kennel he's been presented with. He's an opportunist and will steal unattended food, even broccoli. He isn't aware of his own stature and thinks he's a lap dog. He's also an avid napper. He has a fierce-sounding voice but he means nothing by it. He may jump on new companions out of excitement but has never shown signs of aggression. He's neutered and up-to-date on vaccines. He's good on a harness until he sees someone he knows or wants to meet. He's silly and never ceases to entertain with his antics. Diesel would do best with a large family and/or a home with other animals he can play with. He's a velcro dog with some separation anxiety and gets very stressed when left alone in the house, even for a short time.
