About Bubba

We are so excited to introduce you to a Bubba! We aren't quit sure what it is about this guy but we see something special! I mean, what did Mr. Miyagi see in the Karate Kid? What did The Fairy Godmother see in Cinderella? Possibility! Bubba found himself on a kill list when the shelter he was in had to take in a bunch of dogs and there was no longer room for him. The first time we saw his pic, we just knew that Bubba is a special boy. His short, chunky little bod provides a constant wag for a happy tail. We don't know what great things lay in store for Bubba but we know his life is going to be great and he's going to make someone else's life better too! Bubba is a Treeing Walker Coonhound who is middle aged and weighs 58 pounds. Augusta Dog Adoptions is a 501c3, foster- based rescue. We take applications online and schedule adoptions in Waynesboro, VA. A $175.00 adoption fee ($300 for puppies under 6 months old) helps us take care of all the dogs we rescue. All dogs are spayed/neutered, tested for heartworm and tick borne diseases (if old enough), microchipped, and vaccinated for rabies (if old enough), distemper/parvo and bordetella. They are also treated for internal and external parasites. Many dogs also receive extensive medical care such as dental work and major surgeries.
