About Raffi

Welcome Raffi aka Venus to CCPAL Rescue. She is a 10-month-old AKC Registered Rat Terrier. She weighs about 13 pounds. She is a good weight and a nice small dog. She is very comfortable being held and per her foster dad she is a 'love diva.' She came from a breeder who now wants to get out of the business. She is spayed, vaccinated and almost fully potty trained with the occasional accident. If you love the loyal, smart and gentle nature of this breed you will love this girl. She has upright ears and the traditional black mask with a cute wrinkly face. She has some stocky legs and will be a lap companion and small enough to come along in a dog carry bag. She would be best in a home where she can be the center of attention with children 14 or older or no children. She wants her human all to herself. It makes sense since she lived for months in a pack of 70 dogs and got some attention but not the attention she does with a home as an only or with another dog. She will also be sturdy and good as a walking companion. Many people that have owned this breed, love this breed. We feel fortunate to get to find homes for these wonderful pups. The breeder will work on leash manners for the ones we will be adopting out. These dogs may be shy but you can see they are all well cared for. Her teeth are clean and white which is a bonus and they are in good shape even if a bit shy. Brandi is content being held and warmed up nicely to us for her photo shoot. She gets along wonderfully with other dogs. She is currently in a foster home in Georgia. We will set up a meet and greet only with an approved application. We would like a kind and patient person to be her adopter and someone who loves the breed would be ideal. Her adoption fee is 400.
