About Wolfie

Chow Chow / German Shepherd
Age: Puppy

ADORABLE YOUNG, 45 LB, SMALLER BLACK CHOW MIX, NEEDS LOVING HOME OR FOSTER/RESCUE TO SAVE HIM. WHO CAN HELP? WOLFIE- ID 8112 spcaLA in Long Beach, So Cal Please help us find a good home, foster and/or rescue for handsome young man, Wolfie, a friendly, smaller chow mix estimated to be only 1 year old and now at is now available for adoption at the spcaLA in Long Beach. Estimated to be almost 45 lbs, Wolfie was found as a stray roaming with a female white husky or mix who he is friendly with and previously both brought to the Long Beach shelter before being transferred. The shelter told us, 'They are not bonded but do appear to have lived together for some time and are both friendly to people as well as other dogs in combined and separated playgroups.' We were given video of them playing the playyard together: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=alEHvQ2Lhjk . They can be adopted separately although if you are also interested in his friend, please note we have a separate post and information for her. They have participated in the HEAL Program to help with my basic manners and socialization. The spcaLA further noted wonderful things about Wolfie such as he is easy to walk on a leash, he knows sit and down, he plays fetch and is very treat motivated. Wolfie backed away when tested with a cat. His silky coat makes him standout. He is an active dog that would do best in an active home where he can exercise to his heart's content. He enjoys walks and engaging in treat training. For direct adoption inquiries for Wolfie, you may contact the shelter using his listing link: https://spcala.com/adoptable/pet/?ss=LACA-A-8112 or by calling (562) 216-2542 and ask for ID 8112. Tundra's ID and listing is 8016 and https://spcala.com/adoptable/pet/?ss=LACA-A-8016. However, please ALSO contact [email protected] or Southern California Chow Chow Rescue Network who is trying to assist the shelter with their placement, particularly if you are interested in fostering or fostering to adopt- so we can try to pair you with a rescue to help. Each dog would be altered for an adopter.
