Pablito (also goes by 'Papa') is a male Australian Kelpie mix (cattle dog) and is 6 •À%BD•À%BD%BD%BD years old. He is a very intelligent, obedient, very affectionate, and super energetic dog. He's got all the qualities a dog can have. Pablito loves to hang around with humans and just craves affection. He can be timid at first but does warm up. He grew up with a Chihuahua dog older than him. She was the matron and Pablito loved her and followed her everywhere. Although he grew up with another dog, it does take him a little time for him to get to know other dogs, and sometimes snaps at them but, he eventually becomes a dog friend. He doesn't take too kindly to cats, which is probably a normal consequence. Pablito is house trained with good house manners. He sleeps through the night. He does not like crates! He has learned commands such as to sit, lay, shake, go, wait, stay, go get your bone, and comes to you when called by name or whistle. He loves going on long walks and likes to fetch sticks. Walks well on a leash and when let loose at a park, loves to run but stays close. He has not shown any destructive behavior inside or outside. He also loves short/long car rides. Pablito enjoys dog treats like beef links, duck jerky, and peanut butter soft snacks. His base food is Nutro Adult lamb or beef. We kept him away from chicken as a vet once told us that he may be allergic to chicken. He was used to human food for a while, but we weaned him off because he had gained too much weight and it was not good for his health. Pablito weighs 62 lbs. is neutered, and up to date on vaccines, including rabies, heartworm negative and current on prevention. Because he is so active, Pablito does get bored and lonely quickly. He needs a good home where he can do what he was bred to do; chase/gather animals. He needs to be in a place like a Farm or Ranch where he can expend that abundant energy he holds and where his natural skills can be applied. We wish we could keep him, but we are at a point in our lives where we just can't care for him anymore. Please text or call at the numbers provided.
