About Brooks

Yorkie mix
Age: Adult
Sex: Male

Meet Brooks, a handsome 6 year old, 8 pound Yorkie mix being fostered in Killeen, TX. Only Texas residents will be considered. 04/03/23 Pupdate: Brooks is doing very well and remains on his kidney meds and diet. All medical has been completed; however, he will need a follow up lab in July. Brooks is a very lazy, cuddling pup. He is housetrained, walks well on a leash, and sleeps in his foster's bed. He's looking for an adopter that likes to take it easy and love on him. He does get along with my 4 furbabies and one other foster. As you can see by his pictures he is a gorgeous furbaby with blonde hair, and a beautiful tail. Don't pass him up, he is a gem. 1/28/23 Update: Handsome Brooks had his dental surgery on Friday. His remaining teeth were removed. This pretty little boy is so sweet, quiet, and loves to be petted. He is housetrained and loves to go outside. He also is very good in the car and on a leash. His socialization has definitely improved by showing him a lot of love. Because he is blind in one eye, this sweet boy would be so happy with an adopter who can pay a lot of attention to him, take him walking, or just go outside with him. He makes his way around my house and yard at night as long as he can see light; however I always go out with him. Brooks still sleeps with his foster mom and two siblings. Brooks will be a loving companion especially for someone who is retired or works from home. 1/11/23 Initial Bio: Brooks is a beautiful blonde 6 1/2 year old neutered and chipped male furbaby. Brooks says hello to everyone and Happy New Year. Just got Brooks about a week ago from the Killeen Animal Shelter. He was such a mess. Pictures are after grooming. His coat had to be taken down pretty short since he was so matted. He had a visit to his dogter on January 5th to have exam and complete lab work up and he is heart worm negative He has his dental surgery the last week of January. He is blind in the left eye with retinol apathy, a couple of other issues that will be rechecked in four weeks. Brooks is not truly socialized yet; however, he is slowly coming out of his shell and will let me love on him at times. Brooks has adapted pretty well to my home but at times needs assistance to find things due to his loss of sight in one eye. He sleeps in bed with his foster and 3 other fur babies. He is housetrained and loves to go outside. He gets along with my other pups as well. He is a sweetheart who was not taken care of by his owners. He needs to be adopted by someone who is retired or works at home, no children under 12, and in a home with only other small pups. He will require attention and a lot of love.
