About Dozer

Dozer, is a newly senior dog who just turned 11 on 20 Jan, he is a dachshund - pit mix his personality though is really just a dachshund in a pit body. He loves walks, cuddles and the occasional stuffed toy. He would really thrive in a home as the only pet since he is prey-oriented. He has a dog-trainer for life and they are able to provide support with anything that may arise in GA. We have worked with the dog trainer to develop confidence, stronger understanding (commands) and socialization with other dogs. His dachshund traits are: high anxiety for which he has medication to support him. He wants to be around his person all the time and loves sitting next to you while you work, read, rest and just give you the most googly eyes filled with absolute admiration. He loves going on trail walks and is great at following commands (heel, sit, wait�'�|). He is incredibly sweet and loves giving kisses. He is very protective of his humans and is the most joyful when he is able to spend all his time by their side. He loves car rides and has gone camping a few times. He would match really well with someone who is able to understand his strengths, potential and areas for support. He is not going to be your dog-park-fetch dog but he will be your sweet over-sized dachshund. Dozer is crate and house trained, although he does not like being in his crate. He is not aggressive toward people and does not have a history of biting/nipping or anything of that nature.
