Meet Molly Hello Molly! This beauty was rescued from a high kill shelter. She was on the 'list' through no fault of her own. Overcrowding at shelters and rescues has created a dire situation for homeless dogs and cats. Molly is safe now and is ready to find her new and loving family to protect her. Molly looks to be a McNab/Catahoula mix. She is pretty with a beautiful coat. She is five years old with piercing brown eyes that reflect her stoicism (and maybe her sadness). Molly is sweet, gentle and a little shy. She's been through a lot and is bravely facing her new situation. She has been a love since arriving. Molly welcomes every bit of attention. She wags her tail, gives kisses and looks forward to her walks and yard time. Molly likes being with Tucker (another rescue). She doesn't play much right now but loves Tucker's company. She loves sniffing and exploring the yard and feeling the sunshine on her face. We tested Molly with cats and she was afraid of them and avoided their company lol! Molly has a wonderful and warming presence. She is calm and sweet. She is quiet and easy-going, just grateful to be loved, be safe, be fed and be cared for. Molly may be house-trained, but we can't say for sure. But she is smart and would most likely learn quickly, if not. She will make for a wonderful fur baby companion. She will love a quiet home, a fenced yard, time with her peeps, car rides, long walks, porch sitting, television watching, but most of all being a part of a loving family. This girl is simply amazing. She's ready to be home again. If interested in Molly, please submit an application online at: https://www.charlessmithgallhumanesociety.org/page/dog-adoption-application Once an application is submitted online, you will receive an email saying your application has been successfully submitted. If you don't receive this email within 24 hours, please check to make sure all application fields were completed or please call our shelter at 706-865-4135. All adopters must complete an approval process which involves a reference check with current/recent vet and a brief home visit if located in the immediate area. We do permit out of state adoptions. Adopters MUST come to the shelter to transport their new family member home. We do not ship nor do we transport them to their new homes. Adoption policies and application procedures are detailed at the shelter website: http://smithgallhumanesociety.org/ under tab All Adoptable Animals. Charles Smithgall Humane Society (CSHS) is a No kill shelter. Animals in our care remain safe with us until adopted. Resident animals are primarily owner relinquished and also accepted from local Animal Control. The facility usually is operating at capacity with a list of animals waiting for space to open. Adoptions and meet and greets are being scheduled by appointment only. Please email us or complete an application and someone will be in touch just as soon as they can.
