Introducing CHANEL! STATS: 7 year old tiny Pom LOCATION: Pensacola FL NEEDS: Fenced yard, lots of love, and patience. HIGHLIGHTS: Beautiful, sweet, and sassy little girl! Chanel is a 7 year old, 6.6 pound Pomeranian who was surrendered to us along with a bunch of other Pomeranians. She is a beautiful girl with a pretty light blond coat and a tiny foxy face! She has bright coal eyes and a sassy little personality. Like most of the surrendered Poms, Chanel is not very socialized but she's really done well adjusting to her foster home. She has turned into a tiny Pom Princess in short order and she'll let you know what she wants! She loves a good belly scratch and she's just started giving the sweetest tiny kisses. She barks a lot, but it's mostly when she's saying hello or she's hungry, and it's such a cute bark! She does let out a different feisty little bark when she thinks she's protecting her person or home (and it's still very cute given how small she is). Chanel takes treats nicely, shares her space and food without grumbling, and is overall a happy, if timid, little girl. She naps in a dog bed next to her foster mom during the day. She sleeps on her dog bed in a playpen with another of the surrendered Poms at night, but she'd probably like to sleep in the big bed if given the choice. Chanel gets along well with other little dogs and she'd be best in a home with another small dog in it. She will thrive with her people giving her attention and helping her learn to be a more social pup. She should not go to a home with little kids (scary!) and has not been tested with cats. Chanel doesn't understand what toys are, but she's becoming more playful and spunky every day. She is not yet potty trained but we're working on it. She knows what to do when she goes outside some of the time, but not consistently. She prefers to go on potty pads in the playpen but she's getting the hang of going outside with encouragement. She still isn't quite sure how she feels about grass. Chanel will follow her person around the yard, but she has to be carried out and back in. She is too tiny to be left outside in a yard alone, but she likes to go out and run around a little when her foster mom takes her. She doesn't come on command yet but she sticks close by and she lies down instantly when her foster mom wants to pick her up. Chanel is not leash trained and absolutely needs a home with a secure fenced yard. She's not used to living in a home as a pet and it's going to take some time and patience from her new owner, but she is coming along very quickly! Chanel has been to the vet for a wellness check, is up to date on shots, was just spayed and had a dental at the same time, has been fecal tested, is heartworm negative, has had a lot ProHeart heartworm prevention shot, and is microchipped with a lifetime registration.
