About Tom

Meet Tom, a beautiful one-year-old, 60 lb. black lab/staffordshire terrier mix. He came to Connecticut from Texas where he was in the shelter for four months! If you're looking for an amazing dog, you've found one! Tom is just the sweetest boy - he is incredibly loving and affectionate. He will happily greet you with a wagging tail, big smile, and giant bear hug! Tom is friendly with everyone he meets and was previously in a foster home with young children and both big and small dogs. He does, however, take time to warm up to his furry friends because he gets just so excited. He'll sometimes play with toys but he's mostly pretty chill and just wants to be by your side for snuggles. He is also very smart and highly treat motivated. In the short amount of time that he has been in foster, he has learned 'sit' and 'paw.' Tom is house/cratetrained and does well being left alone for hours at a time. He really enjoys being outside and would love a fenced yard to relax in with his new family. He'll make a wonderful addition to any home! His adoption fee is $375 and Tom is vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm negative, and neutered.
