Introducing VICTORIA TRINKET! STATS: 8 year old Pom LOCATION: Pensacola FL NEEDS: Calm home, fenced yard, and a doggy friend. HIGHLIGHTS: Gentle and sweet. Hi! My name is Victoria Trinket! I am an 8 pound pretty Pomeranian. I was born in April of 2015 so I am almost 8 years old. I came to this rescue with a lot of other Poms and I'm being fostered with one of my Pom buddies. That's nice because I am still a little scared and she makes me feel better. I go everywhere she goes unless she's by people or other dogs, then I hang back a little bit. I definitely want to go to a home that has a small social dog to be my new best friend. I also think it would be best to have only adults in my future home because kids move quickly and startle me. A quieter home would suit me best. Right now I spend a lot of time people watching, not just because I'm interested in them so much, but also because I'm worried that they will come to close to me. If people get too close I will often run away from them. If they pick me up or pet me I stiffen like a statue, a very pretty statue though! I'm just not used to being handled a lot. I sleep on a dog bed in the living room with my doggy friend. I have discovered that I like exploring the backyard. I am not housebroken yet, but sometimes I use the potty pads. I have not used the leash. My foster mom says I should get used to a few new things at a time! I definitely need a home with a secure fenced yard. I rarely bark and I won't eat when people are nearby or watching me. To my new family, please be patient, I'm learning! I have been to the vet for a wellness check, and was just spayed and had a dental yesterday! They also gave me all my shots, and I've been fecal tested, am heartworm negative, have had a 12-month ProHeart heartworm prevention shot, and I'm microchipped with a lifetime registration! I really would love to find a forever home with a patient and loving family who will help me discover this big world around me! Our dogs live in private homes in and around the Pensacola area until they are adopted. *To meet a dog or be considered for adoption you must first submit an adoption application for review.
