About MONET

Introducing MONET! STATS: 9 year old female Maltese LOCATION: Pensacola FL NEEDS: Fenced yard, love and attention. HIGHLIGHTS: Very loving companion! Monet is a 9 year old, 5.4 pound Maltese who was surrendered by her owner. She is as sweet and lovable as can be! Monet loves all kind of affection. She gives and receives kisses and loves to snuggle and cuddle with her person. At night she sleeps in her own little bed, but she loves to get in bed with her foster mom in the morning. If given the opportunity she would happily snuggle with her person in the big bed. Monet is very friendly and open to anything. She is good with other small dogs and enjoys their company. She plays with her foster brother and has no problem sharing her bed, toys, or person with him. Monet doesn't play with toys a lot, but she goes and gets one or two now and again. She has not been around kids since we have had her, but we imagine she would be fine with older kids. She has not been around cats with us. We have not yet tried her on a leash. She loves running and playing in her fenced in yard with a fur buddy, and we think she would be happiest with a small doggy friend in her home. Monet is doing very well with her potty training. She uses a potty pad if her foster mom doesn't notice it is time to go out, but for the most part she waits and goes outside. Monet is a smart little lady! Her foster mom says she understands 'I'll be right back' and seems to know 'I'm going shopping' ...that means it will be a while before her foster mom gets back, so she goes and gets in her bed. She is working on 'stay' and 'come in' and she's doing quite well! She will make someone a very loving companion! Monet has been to the vet for a wellness check, is up to date on shots, fecal tested, heartworm negative, has had a 12-month ProHeart heartworm prevention shot, and is microchipped with a lifetime registration. Her spay has been scheduled at one of our vets and she will have a dental cleaning done at that time too. Both of those procedures are covered by the rescue. Applicants should live within a 1-2 hour drive to Pensacola. Puppies, dogs with pending vet appointments, and dogs with behavioral issues are only adoptable within a 1 hour drive to Pensacola. *We are a foster-based rescue and do not have a facility. Our dogs live in private homes in and around the Pensacola area until they are adopted. *To meet a dog or be considered for adoption you must first submit an adoption application for review. This does not obligate you to adopt a dog. *Unfortunately we are unable to personally respond to every application.
