The horrific hoarding situation in Brick left us all saddened and surprised how this could happen in our own backyard. Five of these dogs came to us in the beginning of January to help ease the burden on the county shelters who took in 140 dogs. We are looking for calm, patient homes filled with love to help these dogs heal mentally and learn how to be a dog! They are in good condition physically and have been spayed/neutered. They are learning what toys are, what the outside is, and what a leash is. They are making great progress and need a home that understands their needs and willing to continue with training and socialization. Since they are scared and nervous, they are flight risks so a secure yard and watchful eye is needed. A forever home filled with the love they deserve after a horrible existence thus far is our wish. *** Please remember, do not adopt a dog based on their story alone. The story should not matter more than the dog. All of our dogs need heroes. Georgia is 4 years old, 18lbs. Happiest in a calmer adult home. She is shy at first but once she gets to know you she loves affection and is learning to play with her toys. Squeak toys are her favorites! Fenced yard, registered obedience class required.
