About Zoey

Adoption Fee: $400
Beagle / Plott
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Female

Our Zoey has had some extremely bum luck. She was found as a country stray in Georgia, but that's not the bum luck. She was added abruptly to a northbound Transport and wound up in Manhattan. Seems that Zoey did not appreciate her reversal of fortune.%A0 While residing at the comparatively cushy Best Friends Shelter, Zoey had difficulty adjusting to the shock of city life. She became increasingly anxious, so Shelter Staff asked us to let her blossom at our Connecticut Rescue. Clearly, Zoey has the heart of a country girl! Immediately, Zoey relaxed in a calmer environment. She quickly adjusted and became one of our most beloved Fosters. She has become a proper Beagle busybody with her nose in everybody's affairs. About three years old, Miss Zoey now is ready for her second act!%A0 Zoey is a sweet girl, who can be shy at first meeting, but warms up into a total lovebug.%A0She would thrive in an active adult home, with folks who can commit to her training program. She could join a home with older kids, who were taught to be respectful of animals, and she has lived harmoniously with other dogs. She is not a fan of cats.%A0 Zoey is in excellent health and is at a lean weight of 30 pounds. She appears to be a Beagle mix, with some brindle patches that suggest a smidge of Plott Hound. She has the Scent Hound tendency to 'sniff the roses,' and likes to go slow on her daily walks.%A0 Zoey has good house manners, and is mostly house trained and crate trained.%A0Adopters should expect to troubleshoot the occasional accident that will inevitably occur during her transition to a new home. She has been spayed, and has received routine vaccinations and health screenings. If you are interested in Zoey, please write to [email protected] or call/text Denise at 860-908-9738 for more info.
