About Cookie

Meet Cookie! She is an adorable 4-year-old, 8 pound Chihuahua/Miniature Pinscher mix who loves to snuggle with her favorite person. She is potty trained, fully vetted, loves her squeaky toys and is dog friendly. Cats are unknown. Cookie currently lives with her foster siblings and prefers low-key dogs who may like to play occasionally but aren't loud or highly active. Her 2 favorite dog friends are a 25-pound beagle and a 40 pound hound mix so her tastes do vary. Cookie loves respectful, older children (10+) and prefers a female adult(s). Adult males in the home would be on a case-by-case basis and would require a meet and greet, as she seems very wary around men. In true chihuahua style, she does gravitate to that one special person and at times will make it clear she would prefer others to stay away. Although Cookie does have some preferences learned by her foster mother, we are not fully sure of her background. We do know that she lived with her original owner all her life, unfortunately this person fell ill and could no longer care for her. Another kind person took her into her home but could not provide for her long-term, and agreed to let rescue take her under their wing.
