Leela is a ~2 year old rescue dog. She is a mix of pit bull, terrier, shepherd, and lab and weighs about 50lbs. She's a loving sweetheart who must cuddle! She is fully house trained and somewhat crate trained. She is smart and knows many commands like sit, lay down, leave it, shake. When treats are present, she loves learning new tricks and is still working on 'with me'/heel, roll over, 'bang bang' and 'sit pretty'. She has a lot of energy - one border said she has 'more energy than any living creature should ever possess.' With plenty of space for exercise and zoomies she'd do very well. Having a doggie 'sibling' could help too but they would have to be more 'submissive' and be able to hold their own against Leela's insistent play style. She loves chasing her ball and plays well with other dogs at boarding and daycare, however does very poorly at dog parks. She can be very reactive to many dogs when on leash, but she responds very well to treats and we've had some success working on that reactivity. She is around our baby who is under a year old and is very loving to the baby but needs help respecting personal space. She would be best with someone who has the time and energy to keep up with her!
