About Dottie

I have been fostering this sweet girl since the week of Christmas. She has been fully vetted (HW negative, rec'd 6 month HW shot; shots/boosters; rabies; dewormed; and spayed - not chipped). Vet says 9-12 months old; weight 36lbs. Very sweet temperament but still a puppy so can be mouthy and still learning her manners. We found her on the street and she shows some signs of fear/ abuse with adult males but still open to a gentle hand. Good with other dogs; not tested against cats or children. VERY AFFECTIONATE - this is the problem! I am allergic to her dander/ saliva so I am not able to give her the attention and affection she needs or deserves. Crates easily with small treat and no complaints. Working on housebreaking still but showing success going from crate straight outdoors. Only aggression she has shown is through a fence with an unknown/ unseen dog - I am putting this down to territory and protective. She has been great with all dogs that we correctly introduce her to. Would recommend an experienced owner who can gently and firmly move past her assertiveness without resorting to hitting. She wants to please and will make a super companion!
